Well, on the other hand, if the dog goes missing that sure is one sure fire way to identify it:

"Missing dog. Has pierced ears. Please call if found."

I've never heard of internally threaded earrings.

Me neither.

I also didn't know it wasn't good to use a gun. I haven't had a piercing since I was 6

Very true. Lol

I couldnt imagine reading the flyer without being like "Wtf?" Kinda like those eye lashes people put on car headlights. "Car was stolen, has big eyelashes"

Yeah. With guns it pretty much jams a regular earring through the skin and/or cartilage. You probably know how blunt earrings are. With a needle they use a sharper point to make the hole then put the piercing in. Takes more time but it hurts less and is much cleaner.

They're fantastic. They're impossible to mis-thread or tighten too much, so they don't get stuck on swollen ears the way traditional earring backs can. Less pain. They're good for facial piercings too because none of the ridges ever shred through your hole when you change jewelry.

<blockquote><b>Quoting Mommy of a giggler!:</b>" It's odd, but not really all that different from how they tag cattle...."</blockquote>

That's what I was going to say. They tag and tattoo cattle, sheep, goats and pigs, and the tags they put in their ears make much larger holes than a pair of earrings. Not to mention the number of people who crop dogs' ears and tails. I wouldn't do it. I think it's dumb, but it's really not that big of a deal IMO.

That's really the only logical conclusion we can come to.
