Women can hyper-ovulate but identical twins are genetic and if it runs on both sides or just one, male or female. You could end up with twins. hyper-ovulation of two or more eggs is one thing. Splitting of just ONE egg has to do with chromosomes and genes. From one or both sides.

I just researched it and fraternal twins are hereditary through the womans side only because the man has nothing to do with ovulation obviously lol Identical twins are NOT hereditary and can happen to anyone an identical twin has no more of a chance than anyone else at having identical twins.

Regardless can you miscarry just one twin?

Yes, my mom did. I'm not sure how far along she was but she was far enough along to know she was having twins. I've heard of a lot of other people going through that too.

Yes u can miscarrie just one twin with this one I did and its normally really early on
