I never said I know better. I said I felt she was putting them to bed that early for the wrong reasons. No I never will fully understand it unless I am a parent of a SN child, but I have to say that after 8 years of caring for one, I know a lot about it.

And so what if it is for "selfish" reasons. If she needs a break, and this is how she gets one, then good for her. 7 is not early. If they aren't getting a nap, then 7 is prefect. They need 12 hrs of sleep. My daughter wakes at 8 am everyday.. It doesn't matter if I put her to bed at 7:30pm or 10pm.. She still wakes at 8am. I agree with everyone. If there is abuse, and you are worried about bedtime, then you have issues.

Well then if that's the case.. don't you think the children are better off in bed a little early than being yelled at for 2 more hours?

Also, if you're trying to say they abuse the children (emotionally or physically), why haven't you done anything about it...?
