pregnant with out ppp

Not sure where to post this but here is goes... Has anybody gotten pregnant while breastfeeding without having a pp period at all.. I had my daughter April 23rd stillhavent bled since the day after I had her. She's 8 month still breastfed. Just wanna know my chances. Thanks!

Hi my mother said she was breast feeding twins and became pregnant without a period my little sisters were born march 92 and the following september 93 she gave birth wihile breast feeding.

Sometimes breastfeeding can prolong pp. If you want to start your periods again you can always talk to your ob and they can get you started on meds to do so. Or once you are done breastfeeding you will most likely start.

I didn't get my first pp period until 13 months after having dd, I had another when she was 15 months, another when she was 17 months and conceived this little guy when she was 19 months.

I didnt get my period 12 months while breastfeeding. I've heard you can get pregnant once your LO is sleeping 5+ hours.

It does happen (becoming pregnant the first time you ovulate).

Are you trying to get pregnant? Or are you concerned that you are pregnant?

I took a lot of pregnancy tests (dollar tests) because I was kind of paranoid, I didn't get my first pp period until my son was 23 months (I had gotten it back at 9 months PP after my first child was born).

I didn't get my first ppp until my kids were 17 and 19 months old. It sucked because I wanted to get pregnant!

were not trying but not preventing either. I had a hard time getting pregnant the first time so I was hoping to get pregnant on my own but I dont think it's gonna happen. I was just asking though cause I been feeling like I am but last test was neg.

I did. We now have 3 boys. We had to 'work' at conceiving the first two so we figured it would be reasonably safe to use the pull out method before my cycles returned. We were wrong, lol.
You can get pregnant before your first period if you catch the egg, but it's not very common. Breastfeeding does a good job at suppressing fertility for many women and even when your periods return, they may be pretty sporadic and anovulatory for quite some time. On the other hand, there are women who's fertility is pretty much unaffected by breastfeeding so I guess it just depends n your body. If you want to conceive again, your best bet is to try and get your baby sleeping at least one long stretch during the night. 5+ hours without feeding most nights can help kickstart your cycles.
