Lateish period.

I just started nuva ring this cycle. I took the ring out 4 days ago tomorrow. No period. No cramps. Some heavy white discharge but I believe that to be hormonal. It happened when I started nuva ring too. I want to drink some alcohol tonight. Knowing my period is sort of late (but not missed), would it be a good idea to test first? I wanna chalk this lapse in period up to startin nuva ring, and I still have 3 days as of tomorrow for my period to start. Probably a dumb question but better safe than sorry as far as asking. I read so many things about women getting pregnant right after starting nuva ring but their stats say 1 in 9 will get pregnant if used correctly so I wasn't worried. Now all those posts about nuva ring failing are flashing through my head lol.

I was pregnant 2 weeks off of Nuvaring but I was on it successfully for 2 years. That was the best birth control I was ever on. But its normal like that. It can take a few days for the hormones to clear out and your period to start. You can actually do it continually and have no periods. It would sometimes take me 5 or 6 days to start and then it would be a short itty bitty period.

Oh. Phew. Lol Also glad to hear in some cases like yourself you could get pregnant so soon off nuva ring. We might ttc in 2013. Thanks for the reply

That was seriously the best bc. If I could afford it I'd be on it. Not that I need bc right now as my SO is across the country. Ho hum. I'll get some eventually.

No drinking for me now! My son just spiked a 103.5 fever. Poor kiddo. His birthday is tomorrow. Black cherry wine coolers will have to wait. This is weird though. He had no symptoms of anything. :/

Poor boy!

Yup. We did as told and gave him a cold drink, Motrin, stripped him down to a diaper, waited, gave him a bath and put him to bed in a onsie. It's helped. Guess he gets to go to the doctor for his birthday. Wouldn't it be awful to have his first ear infection on his first birthday? The only sign even indicating an ear infection is he shrugs his shoulders all the way up to his ears lately.
