Quoting Mommy of a giggler!:" Here, they don't have special ed classes anymore, it's all inclusive. I find it works best that way, ... [snip!] ... designed for 3-4 yr olds, but I made the choice to hold him back from kindergarten until next year. He's doing great in it!"
Quoting Mommy to Milo&Ava:" I think it mainly depends on how "severe" he is. If he's a kid that can't handle not having an aide all ... [snip!] ... benefit him. But if you think he would be fine without the aide or as much one on one, talk to someone about your options."Here, we get one on one aides in the regular rooms. Works awesome
Quoting CiCi.:" My son is in a Autism classroom, Every child in the class is autistic. I''m starting to feel like they ... [snip!] ... day care for a full day so I can go back to work. So I guess my question is do u ladies think it would be a smart decisioIf the teachers are not working with him on generalizing this skill then I would call an I.E.P. meeting. You have the right to call one at anytime during the year and I would request that they establish goals and objectives for potty training at school! You can also request for him to be transferred to a new school that has the program if you are comfortable with him being in that program. Good luck!
