i suppose it is semantics, but why sugarcoat it?
It's like not calling a misbehaving person on their misbehavior. It does mean they are rotten. it means their behavior isnt right not that THEY arent OK or alright.

well are you a kid or what? You're the one living in a make-believe fairytale where everyone should have acess to help and welfare, for whatever reason, even if they don't work one single minute of their lives.

To me, I think it is insulting to call someone a leech ,especially if that "leech" is a working citizen. I don't consider that single mother of three kids working a minimum wage job a "leech" or the young couple going to school with two young children "parasites."

To call all of them leeches implies all act one in the same, and that is not true.

MANY live their whole lives with assistance without working. It means MANY don't pay back. ever.

Exactly, it's insulting and disgusting to just lump them together.

Bull smurfing smurf. Again - in YOUR country the majority may be like that but here in the US, the majority is NOT. The majority eventually gets a job of some sort and then their taxes pay back what they used and more.

Again, I'm talking in a general way as I stated many times before.

Actually - I'm not. I worked my ass off and I am 30K in debt from college and I have a good job with the government and earn a salary - I just find you to be incredibly ill informed and very insulting.

I know in some states, there is a lifelong limit as to how many years one can be on welfare. I *think* some states have a five-year limit (don't quote me on that!).

This isn't the kind of smurf you should be talking about in general statements.

Yup, there is in most states. Eventually, they have to get up and start working.

If i needed temporary assistance i would certianly know that i was leeching.
I dont think there is any way around it. I wouldnt be paying my way. If i were living with my parents and not paying them back, I'd be leeching from them. If getting help from the government, Id be leeching from strangers.
