re: Baby in hospital :(

My son caught Group B from me as well. He got pneumonia and PPHN from it. I had a C section, and they didn't give me antibiotics even though you can still pass it to the baby through a C section birth. My son almost didn't make it either, and we were in the hospital at the NICU for 3 weeks. He was on an ECMO machine, which is life support for babies. He had trouble feeding, and it was a long road. He is 9 months now and very healthy. I know what you are going through, you feel helpless and horrible for your baby. Have you held your baby, and are you able to stay with him/her? I stayed with him the entire time he was in the hospital. I'm afraid of the infection coming back since it isn't completely gone yet. I can't imagine losing him.

Just be there for him momma. I know it is hard. You probably feel alone and fearful but like I said there are many mothers who have experienced hardships with their babies, I am here if you want to chat. Spend time with your little one, join groups online or facebook and talk about it to someone. It helped me so much.
