cervidil?

has anyone used this for the induction of there baby?
If so any stories?

They did a ribbon of it with my first, did nothing for me.

Sure did. Had to have 2 doses. Sucked. Long long long process. Started out closed. After the first 12 hour dose I was at 1.5cms then after the second 12hr dose I was at a 3 and the pitocin was started.

I had that with my second DD. It worked.  

Yep it worked like a charm. I was at 0cm 10 days overdue. They gave it to me to prepare my cervix for the pitocin, but my water broke on its own a few hours after I had it and I labored and gave birth very quickly so I ended up never needing the pitocin!!

so there is basically a 50/50 chance it will work, im at 3&1/2 centimeters right now but have been here for 2 weeks and i dont want the petocin so were gonna try the cervidil, my mucus plug came out tuesday night and i thought definitely something then but no, if nothing happens after the 12 hours there gonna break my water.

It worked wonderfully for me. I was 37wks 4days when my water broke. At 37wks I had started using evening prime rose oil.
Once they gave me the cervidil I had it in for about 2hrs I started contracting to close together so they took it out then after that I just went on my own, I got up to a 4 then when to a 10 in about a 1 1/2. No pitocin and no epi needed  
If you know you are going to be induced with it I suggest started evening prime rose oil now, to soften the cervix.

well i will be getting induced so where can i get this prime rose oil to start it before and what do i have to do?

I got a ribbon of it too with my first. I was a week over due and not dialated any. I got the ribbon,it was in 12 hours (I think,maybe 10) after the ribbon was taken out I was allowed to take a bath before starting petocin. My water broke as I was going to sit down in the tub. Still had to do the petocin but it kinda worked. Dialated me some and my water broke.
