no weight gain in over a year poll
posted 27th Dec
We just got back from an appointment with a new pedi, and as i knew it he thinks she has asthma.
He also asked how long she's been 29-30 pounds. I told him since she was 20 months..... She's 39 months now.
He said he wanted to see what she was at when we come back in a month.
*So is it normal for her not to gain any weight in that time frame???*
Like she's never reached 31 pounds.

I don't think it's normal for a small child to stay the same weight for 19 months. Hopefully they figure out why it's happening quickly.

I don't think it's normal to not gain in a yr and a half at ALL.

Shes 3 years old (i had to do some math there lol)at 29-30 pounds? Yeah that doesnt seem normal but then again, im not a doctor

That's what i thought. I'm so glad I'm switching. Her other doc just blew me off about everything. Since she's grown height wise" it was ok"

I don't think so, my eldest (2) just hit 33lbs (ranges 31-32) he was 32 for a few months but he's been growing up (39.75in).

My daughter weighed 18 pounds at her 1 year appointment, and 18 pounds at her two year appointment.
We were told that some kids plateau and hit their "new average", there isn't anything wrong with her, she is just little.
She is 4 now and is happy and healthy, and weighs only 33 pounds.

Maybe she just has her dads sides genes. They r all very skinny and shorter. My side are all obese and short. I don't want her to be chunky obviously cuz kids r cruel, but i just want to know if it's, "ok"

I'm no doctor, but I would say its ok as long as he is growing in height and is still healthy. My son was 25 lbs @ 4 months and is 25 lb @ 13 months...he is just a tall skinny fella, and was a short chunky guy before..

My daughter weighed 32 lbs for well over a year. One day she just started growing and hasn't stopped since. I'd definitely watch it, but try not to freak out... it's hard not to stress, I know

Jackson's been 24 lbs since his 2 year check up and he'll be 3 years soon. Since he has grown height wise they haven't said anything.
