I would never be induced myself, unless absolutely necessary. I know it's an estimate but how far off can they really be, a week or two at the most? I've heard being induced is much harder on your body also, I believe you.

Two weeks can make a world of difference in development.

They can be off by about 3 weeks from what I've heard from ultrasound techs.
That's why it's always best to wait until your baby is ready and comes when he/she wants. Unless of course you need to be induced for medical reasons.

Being induced because you want your doctor to deliver the baby or because of weight is selfish in my opinion. When I had DD, my OB was literally only there for about 10 minutes. I spent most of my labor and VERY short birth with the nurse.
This is why most doctors introduce you to other OBs or at least Gove you some info on the doctors who could be on call at the hospital. And if your doctor doesn't do that, it's not going to kill you to ask and get info on other potential doctors that could be there during your birth.

Also, OP, what happens if your doctor has an emergency on the day you're being induced and can't be there? I think it's silly how you want to be induced for that reason.
