38 Weeks and...

posted 27th Dec
So, I am in the middle of my 38th week and had my check up done.

I am currently only 2cm and 90% effaced. I lost my mucus plug, but am in no real pain. I have a lot of discharge and these past three days I have been experiencing nausea, tightness, and cramping. I know that it's no definite "YES YOU ARE GOING TO GO INTO LABOR IN 1 HOUR AND 17 MINUTES." However, are these normal signs that I could be expecting to go into labor soon?

I expect knee buckling pain and pirate cursing tantrums, but I have been experiencing pain for a few weeks and can't seem to judge that as a sign itself. Just looking for personal experiences pertaining to what symptoms y'all remember experiencing and if hollywood-style pain was involved.

It's not really a sign of anything. I have been experiencing all that since 30 weeks. Unfortunately it means nothing

those 'symptoms' can be just your body adjusting to things.. doesnt necessarily mean your going to go soon.. trust me, i had those around 38 weeks... i am 40 weeks 2 days and i am only 1 cm and 75% effaced...

Okay! It JUST started occuring and things have been changing very rapidly all of a sudden, so I hope everything will come quickly.

Last night I have been having these really bad charlie horse-like cramps in my inner thighs and left calf that even standing upright didn't help. Been on my vitamins, bananas, iron tablets and water like a camel, but they just came upon me like death. Ugh, maybe not enough milk? It's hard to find the right time of day to drink milk when you have to take iron tablets, multi-vitamin and your nexium at different times as is.
