Cold & cough while pregnant. What did you take?

what did you take (or can take) over the counter?

Benadryl and tylenol cold. Although I have been sick for weeks and haven't taken either. I prefer tea with honey and lemon, vicks, and a humidifier. I don't like taking cold meds.

Tylenol, and my OB said that the Robitussin DM (with just the cough expectorant) was safe, too. Other than that, Vick's vapor, nasal spray, tea with honey, and hot showers for the steam!

You can also take cough drops.

Echinacea, cough drops and tissues

I spoke to a pharmacist yesterday in concern to the nasty cold I have. Sinus pressure, pain, congestion, cough, aches. He said, Tylenol and a Netty Pot.

My midwife said I could do a small dose of Sudafed as needed - the good stuff from behind the counter. I get really nasty sinus infections, too - pregnancy is like a nice 9 month long sinus infection for me. I use sudafed, tylenol severe cold and cough, theraflu (stuff you put in hot water and drink - nasty, but effective) and I do the usualy steam, hot showers, vicks,all that jazz.

My Ob says the only thing any pregnant women should take is either Sudafed or Robitusm DM. You can also have cough drops. I take the Sudafed when I get a head cold and it seems to work great. Robitusm works good for coughing.

My ob perscribed me benadryl and told me to eat a cough drop every four hours. she said i couldnt take any tylenol cough and cold or extra strenghth.

How could I have forgotten?! A netti pot!!! Kind of disgusting but completely Amazing!

These cause amoebas in the brain if you don't use filtered water!!!!!!
Do not use tap water!!!

I won't use one anyways. I'm not dumping water up my nose. Yuck!
