re: Fiance working as bouncer in stripclub.Is it ok?

Having a strong moral code myself, I'm with you. I wouldn't want my husband working at a strip club. Not as a bouncer, bartender, DJ....nothing.

I think strip joints are sleezy, no matter how "high class".

I would leave anyone who chose that for a job.

If he is commited to sobriety.... that's the wrong place for him to work, IMO.

Thats kind of closed minded. I dont know how all clubs are sleezy, especially if you are just a mere dj or bouncer.

My SO was a guest dj at a strip club... twice in Wyoming. I didnt give a damn. He was playing music for everyone and wasnt oogling girls. We went to a company party at a strip club and drank for free all night and hung out with everyone that worked there.... it was really fun and the girls are sweet, they are just trying to survive. Its not like they try to bring home every guy that goes in the door!

And strip clubs are not a place that anyone that has a problem with substance abuse/addiction should work or be at all.

I wouldn't be ok with it, either.

That is a line crossed, to me.

It's not something that I would choose because I am morally opposed to the concept of stripping for anyone other than a spouse ....or Dr.

Morality has nothing to do with simply working in a strip club. It has nothing to do with who YOU are morally ok with being naked in front of. A guy bouncing in a strip club is not a bad thing unless, like I stated before, he has drug or alcohol problems. I bartended in a strip club for yrs. I made a lot of friends, and a smurf ton of money. It was awesome! I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Does that make me less of a person or a bad person? Nope! Not everyone who works in a strip club is there to get naked and believe me its not fun and games for the dancers either, it's hard miserable work.

I agree - I don't think your moral code needs to be pawned off on anyone else. I don't care if other people do it - have at it, it's a job, I;m sure people who work in those places make great money.

For my family, though, it wouldn't be acceptable, but I totally understand that my family is not the same as other people's.

The point of this post was asking if it was "right" for a married man with a baby on the way to work in a strip club.
