Oh wow, I can't imagine that. I'm SO thankful that DS is naturally a good sleeper, and hasn't had any issues like reflux or colic. He's practically a perfect baby, hitting milestones ahead of time and gaining weight like a champ. Took to breastfeeding really well as well, it's fantastic. It must have been so hard getting up every hour. I've only had to do that once when he had his two week growth spurt, but that was when I was trying to nap during the day. he's always been a napper during the day and sleeps well at night. I would absolutely LOVE to co-sleep, but unfortunately he's safer in his bassinet unless I kick SO out into the spare room lol. He's a flailer, and he's almost rolled over ME a few times when he's been really deeply asleep. Plus, they say not to co-sleep if one parent is under the influence of ANYTHING so I'm not going to risk it.. Although I do fall asleep feeding him in the mornings and I absolutely love waking up to him attacking my boob to get me to relatch him lol. It's so cute!
Awww that sounds so adorable, I sooo can't wait until DS can say "I love you" and other cute stuff! I have a feeling he's going to be a quiet, sensitive soul but a very on to it little guy. He's extremely aware, has been since day one. Not going to be able to get much past him lol. I can't wait to see what kind of person he grows to be though

I was on rest for a while at 2 separate points with my son 14-19 weeks and 21-23 weeks. But I didn't have an incompetent cervix with him because scar tissue from my cancer removal surgery held my cervix closed, so I never went past 1cm til after 30 weeks. Was a 3cm at 35 weeks, contracting every 10 or fewer mins til I delivered at 40+4

Ohhh, I see. I don't know much about incompetent cervix to be honest, I always thought it was something you always had as opposed to something that could develop.   If the doctors were doing smears or internals, wouldn't they be able to diagnose it? Or is it something that only 'flares up' during pregnancy?
Sorry to be a nosy cow lol i get curious.. if I'm crossing a line asking about it I'll gladly shut up and retreat to my corner

It developed because of my cancer surgery. It left my cervix half GONE, so it built scar tissue to heal. That scar tissue held it closed (mostly) for DS1. When he was born it broke the scar tissue and so now the scar tissue isn't a strong band anymore. So, I'm left with half a cervix and a bunch if broken scar tissue.

And it's only a pregnancy thing and can't be diagnosed before your cervix is already opening, most women lose 1 baby inhave one preemie before it is diagnosed. I was diagnosed after DS 2 because DS1 was overdue and my cervix DID hold (albeit by chance).

And I don't get PAPs or pelvic exams when pregnant until 36+, and it doesn't show except in pregnancy, so my doc monitors my cervix via ultrasound.

Ohh, I see. That suchs that you don't know you've got it until it's too late   I always wondered if that's why doctors do internals from damn near the first appointment over there, to check for things like that.
I really admire your strength OP. Your sons are both beautiful, and they're lucky to have a mama that loves them so fiercely. I'm praying so hard for your rainbow baby to come out healthy, strong and perfect.
