So ladies, please exaplain to me whats soo DISGUSTING and FOREIGN about the Diva Cup? I was thinking about getting one. and now my husbands all disgusted and calling me a hippie for it..am i the only one who thinks theres NOTHING WRONG WITH IT?

My room mate in c school used to use one. She loved it.

I know it's not supposed to spill..but I've never tried one, I don't really want to find out.

my SO said the same thing. Rite Aid sells something similar that i was thinking about trying, but SO was grossed out about it. I don't know how that's much more different from a nasty blood soaked tampon...   and it's not like he'll be the one using it.. lol men are dumb.

Before i got pregnant i used one. But nowthe thought of it makes me skin crawl. Lol if it works for you who cares what he thinks.. Tell him to be happy he doesn't have to go thru it lol

I started using the Instead cup when I was 14 and have used the Diva Cup for years. I absolutely love it. It is safer, easier, cheaper and just better all around. I have no idea how sticking a yucky tampon up your vagina could be considered less gross.

I think they are great, IF you can get it inserted properly...which I can't seem to always do! And you can still have sex. That alone should make your hubby happy

Lol I would be annoyed if my partner thought he had any right to have an opinion on what I choose to use to contain my menstrual blood.

Don't tell him you're using it? I get creeped out when guys are overly ok with the period thing. I told my boss I wasn't pregnant and he's like oh you got your period? He's married with teenage girls but he's just so cool about periods and birth control creeps me out lol.

After you have kids they can be a little harder to use. Do you use a post partum DC?

I've been using one since dd was born. Dh thinks its great (we have septic so I can't flush tampons) coz period trash grosses him out, me too. It's cleaner and lasts longer than a tampon (I change mine twice a day since I can get away with going roughly 12 hours). I would have killed for one in HS since I've always hated the alternatives.

thats why i thought to sit on the toilet when i pull it out? lol. so it wont get everywhere....

I used the Instead Softcup. At the time, my youngest was 9! I have tried using it since DD #3 was born and I just can't seem to get it inserted so it doesn't leak..TMI!
