I also had an episiotomy and had the smell...lol. I used feminine spray....not directly on the area of course but I sprayed my panties, then put the pad in... I could still smell me obviously when I used the bathroom but it made me worry less that other people may be able to smell it. It lasted until a day or two after the stitches disolved. If you are worried have your doctor check for infection, that can also cause a very unpleasant smell. Good luck.
