I'm getting induced!

On Monday, my due date unless she comes before then. I'm excited and so nervous. Lol. I have to be there at 7 AM & they'll start my antibiotics for GBS and she's gonna give me the pill & if that doesn't work, she'll break my water. I'm still 2CM, very thin and effaced so she is confident in the induction. I'm so over whelmed, lol.

Thanks & I've had some pretty heavy bleeding lately and my doctor doesn't want to take any risks. But, other than that, no issues.

Make sure they use Cervidil (sp) vs Cytotec (sp) if that's the pill you are talking about.

I was induced with my second and it was a pretty nice experience, ya know, as far as labor goes.

I'm pretty sure I'll be getting cytotec.

Just a warning.. I wouldn't use that. It's not recommended for labor, it's actually an ulcer medicine and can cause excessive bleeding. I would research it before hand. They use it because it's effective and cheap.

I'd request a foley bulb instead of the Cytotec if they'll do it for you. Good luck!

You can ask for Cervadil. Don't let them bully you into anything you don't want.

I will definitely be requesting that instead of Cytotec. I just thought they'd give a damn enough to not give me something that could harm my baby & I.

My doctor defends the use of Cytotec too. I told her I want a foley bulb to be placed instead. She looked at me like I was stupid, but I'd rather have that than the other two. If you go the med option, Cervadil is a much better choice.
