Any of y'all know anything about ingrown toenails? Once there's pus building up is there still a chance of fixing it at home? Or do I need to take DS to the dr?

The pedi is closed for the weekend and I don't want to take him to the ER over this. Urgent care maybe?

For once, yes!

I think we are going to stay at a hotel tonight (one with an indoor pool) and take the kids swimming and stuff. We haven't done that in forever.

I just went for my first run/walk in weeks. And I can honestly say I think I found the culprit to my horrible moods!! I only went 2 miles and feel like a new person with more energy than I've had in forever. Hopefully the weather stays nice now!

You could still fix it, or at least help the infection at home. Sterilize something sharp and pointy like a pin and you can use that to drain out the pus. Then clean it with peroxide, betadine, etc. and keep doing that. Whether or not this will take care of the problem altogether depends on how badly ingrown the nail is.

Oh, I will! The hotel is my favorite one around here (Hilton Garden Inn) and has an indoor pool!

I've heard if you file down the middle of the nail it makes the sides of the toenail come out. My dad did that and it worked for him.
