Yeah I hear ya, we were in KY/TN for a few years than GA/AL.. We were hoping to go somewhere with a slightly cooler climate.. ha. But I hear Hawaii isn't that terrible with the heat. It's a different type of heat and it more around the high 70s low 80s all the time. I may not be able to handle the cold when I get back though! But I'm looking forward to the experience. With DH's job we had a lot of options as to where to go we put in for Belgium or England or Germany for our OCONUS options and they decided that Hawaii sounded better lol. I hope you guys end up somewhere good. They won't let your DH stay on rear D for a month or so until after the baby is born??

No they won't let him stay back. There is a non-deployable unit on our post that he has an interview with the 1st SGT on Monday morning. It will be nice for him to get into that unit, but we will have to stay here another 3 years if he gets in. IDK what is worse him deploying for 9 months and then us leaving the frozen tundra, or him staying home and living here for 3 years. We have already been here for 5 years, so I feel like we are losing out on the full Army experience for staying here for the long term. The upside of staying here though is I have a really good paying job with the school district, and we bought a house our first year here so we'll have almost 10 years into our house when we go.

Thank you

It really was a huge shock to have all that news dumped on me at once and I really didn't believe the dr at first because I've been inferential for so long.

Yeah that's a toughy. We bought our home and are stuck renting it out now   I'm sure whatever the outcome it will work out for you all. The good thing about being pregnant and having the baby while he was gone is I had something exciting and time consuming to focus on. It made it go by faster. It is bittersweet though. But always looking for that silver lining when it comes to the military. Let me know how it goes!!

I usually thought it was the 14th week.. so 13w1d you're technically in it?? Since you would be beginning the 14th week. If that makes sense.

If you divide it perfectly it would be approx. 13w3d per trimester. So I'd go with sometime between 13-14 weeks

My doctor considers it once you complete 13 weeks and hit 14w0d you are in the second trimester and when you hit 27w0d it's now the third trimester. I don't really care one way or the other. I just count weeks. LOL

Looking into buying a doppler. Any suggestions? I've been looking on ebay and it looks like I can get a sonoline b on for $56.35. How good do they work any advice?
