Laugh at their stupidity. They don't cause brain damage or anything else. The most they *might* do is cause a temporary disturbance to the baby at the time that it's being done which is equivalent to being woken up by your alarm clock. Temporarily annoying but not harmful. I hear so much stupidity based on nothing but fear mongering and junk science, there's just not enough time in the day to respond to it all, but those people usually won't listen anyway. You'd be amazed at some of the stupid smurf I hear from patients that come in thinking they are so smart and informed too. LOL

Quoting BristolsMomma:" I have heard that taking Magnesium can help keep MS from creeping in. Has anyone tried it?"

I'm giving B vitamins and magnesium a try. It might be a bit better. Not sure. But apparently it's harder to absorb magnesium in pregnancy and it's better if you have stores before conception. I'm willing to try anything relatively safe.

Meh, my kids have different fathers and my parents have never made a peep. They're just delighted I left the ex - best thing I ever did

She's beautiful by any name. I hope your mom's over it now! I'm never into announcing names - people always think they can give a brutal opinion on it in the hope you'll change your mind. They don't dare do that once the baby's born.

Yeesh, that sounds hideous. I'm sorry. Is there a chance if you found a supportive birth attendant & you worked on improving skin elasticity inside and out - vitamin E, massage etc? I suppose it depends on how much scar tissue you have since it's not very elastic stuff.

That's what I thought. Mine's always pretty firm by the time my period's due but then it softens right up. Discharge & spotting in the first trimester are all pretty normal too.

Hello Ladies! I just wanted to peek in and see how everything was. Prayers going out to all the Mommas having trouble. I was in a 6 hour long meeting yesterday with work, so I missed a lot. Be sure to keep us informed.

In other news, there is snow and ice all over the place here. And guess who slid into the ditch, forgot her phone, and could barely make it back to the house? This girl! Ugh! My morning sucks! Luckily I live right beside my parents and my dad was coming out of his drive as I passed. I was crying and since we work for the same company, I rode with him. Scared the bejesus out of me!

He meant like the opening to my cervix. As in not closed the way it should be. There was some red flags with my blood work too. My doctor is not american and sometimes he rambles and puts a bunch of gynecological words together and acts like he made a sentence. But his nurse explained it to me better when he left the room.

I'm so tired that I had to read this twice... I kept thinking "I want to see someone slide into a ditch on their ass... that may be fun" lol

Then I realized, you were probably talking about your car

Yes, I was talking about me.   But if it would've been anyone else, I would've been like, "Haha! Look at dummy sliding everywhere!" But since it was me, not so funny. My Tahoe just doesn't handle snow and ice good. I need winter tires on it. That will happen by next winter! Hope you rest up!

I've never drove on snow or ice   We don't usually get that much here so I haven't ever really had to. And when we have had snow or ice, I just send DH out if we need anything

I'm trying to, I just can't sleep. And I have a headache from hell that has been here for over a week that I can't get rid of. My MS hasn't been as horrible lately, but my head is hurting so bad that it makes me feel like I'm going to get sick

I'm originally from Texas, so I'm not too used to driving on snow either. I hate it! This is the first time I've ever had serious trouble with it, though. Usually they are pretty good about keeping the roads clear, but the last few snow storms have kinda taken us by surprise. They call for flurries and we get hammered.

I hope your headache gets better. I've been having trouble sleeping, too. I am so tired when I get home, but after I fall asleep, I wake up and just can't go back to sleep. It's exhausting! That's probably why you have your headache. I know when I can't sleep good I get one.

I would get my taxes back on a day where its 10 degrees outside and we're covered in snow. Sigh. Shopping spree will have to wait.
