I was always told baby showers are an introduction to motherhood, not for each baby, so yeah, bad etiquette apparently. You're also not supposed to throw them for yourself  
I liked the idea of a mother blessing better anyway, like they talk about in the book 'Birthing From Within', since most people never buy what you want/need anyway. I wanted a mother blessing so bad and didn't get one  

Nothing wrong with each baby getting a baby shower. If people don't like the idea of it, they can sit out!!! ;)

I've never heard it was tacky till I joined this site. I was offered one for both of my babies so I never know it was even a matter of etiquette!

Ive had a baby shower for each of mine. I didn't plan OR ask for them though, they were surprises to me.

I miss roundtable soo bad now that I live in NY. I haven't had their pizza/bread twists in 5 yrs. Makes me sad.  
All you ladies from CA are making me home sick, lol! I'm orig. from Concord but moved to northern NY in '08 with my family.

My husband says I can't have one for this baby. I had one for my first but not my second. If it's a boy I want to have another shower but I guess I wont.
