Quoting The Doctor:" Federal law says.... 6 weeks with disability, 12 weeks total, so it would be 6 weeks unpaid (except ... [snip!] ... months). Hmm. Isn't that everywhere?? I thought that was the federal law.. required to hold it for 12 weeks. Look it up for CA!"

Hmmm I must research it!!

6 weeks with disability, but 12 weeks they are required to hold your position for you. That's why I'm weighing the 6 vs. 12... and wondering how other folks worked it. <3

I would prolly do 6 weeks and then my parents watch him for a few weeks. My dad will be retired by then

She said somewhere around 5 weeks. I should be 6 weeks today, according to LMP. They didn't give me a different DD.

Ugh, I'm so jealous.   I am not looking forward to putting baby in daycare... but depending how BF's job goes... we may be able to do just part time.

Yeah that's what I am hoping for if anything as well. My son's day care provider is already so excited about this little bean something tells me she will beg me to leave him with her every once in awhile even tho she doesn't take infants.

That's awesome! DD goes to a preschool with multiple classrooms, and they have a baby room.... but ugggghh.

It sucks because I'm the main source of income, so it's not like I can find a job at different hours than BF to supplement the income without having to do preschool/daycare.

Sigh. Well, we'll figure something out! Maybe I'll look for an in home daycare for baby, and see about getting Ayanna into a pre-k, now that she'll be age eligible.
