Quoting Achelois:" (((hugs))) I've spotted at around 6 weeks with every pregnancy so far and probably will with this one ... [snip!] ... me to miscarry the others. No pregnant woman likes to wipe and see blood. I get hCG levels done just for my peace of mind."

I spotted with my son at around 6 weeks as well. I just want Wednesday to hurry up so I can have my u/s and see a little beating heart. I've just been having complications since I've had kidney stones. It's kinda gross, so I won't go through it again. I don't know what the deal is, so I am ready to see my doctor. I've said it before, and I'll say it again...I'm so ready for the second trimester!

So, question for working moms, whether you have experience or not...

FMLA... do you normally take the whole 12 weeks, or do you just take the 6? I have additional disability insurance that I signed up for that covers me for 3 months, and have been with my job for over a year, so I'm trying to think ahead about the best way to handle working and being a mom. Last time I was a student, so it was a much different situation, and I'm not quite sure the ins and outs of this! <3

Playing catch up

jazzzzz*- Tell me about it!! It gets so humid here too, bleh ;(

Mama ♥- I get this early on too. It sucks bad! Just try to keep your bladder empty. That seems to help with mine. Also, fried pickles are freaking amazing!!

Married with children AIO - Congrats and Welcome!!!

KayMay ♥ - We have our boy name picked out due to it being a 3rd but we still need a nick name and are talking about "Emma Harlee" for a girl

nursemaya (6weeks) - Haven't we been DD buddies before? Possibly December of 09'? That or I imagined it. Hehe!! Congrats none the less!!!

The Doctor - I'm a full time working mom and I have always taken my 6 weeks. I would love to have more ;( Does your company offer anything during the 6 weeks?

I caught up but didn't reply to everyone   takes forever on my phone...

So I had my first appt yesterday. I went in and got an ultrasound and all there was was a sac...they said I might've just ovulated late and were doing a repeat ultrasound in 10 days. I hope everything is okay :/

Is anyone getting their flu shot while pregnant? The NP that I saw yesterday said I should get it, but I haven't had one in at least 10 years. I really don't want to get it.

According to FMLA, they are required to hold your job for 12 weeks. I get 6 weeks of disability, but I have 3 months of disability insurance I purchased separately through my employer... so I'm not entirely sure if I should be trying to plan for 6 or 12 weeks, and I really want to BF for as long as I humanly can while working... I'm just not sure of the ins and outs of the leave laws!

I just take 6 weeks after delivery, but I was also on bedrest with both kids before that so I used 7 with one and 11 with the other.

I gotcha, and that goes towards the time they're required to hold your job for you, right?

Federal law says.... 6 weeks with disability, 12 weeks total, so it would be 6 weeks unpaid (except I purchased a separate policy that covers 3 months). Hmm. Isn't that everywhere?? I thought that was the federal law.. required to hold it for 12 weeks. Look it up for CA!
