we have a tv stand with cabinets. we need to get a stand for the rest, because they're in a cardboard box right now lol

We have a small entertainment center from IKEA with child locks on it. Got the child locks at Target or Walmart. We are getting something else soon though and I have no idea how we are going to keep the kids away from it! This is what we currently have, the dvds are in the drawers and the electronics are in the slider part:

the problem is we have too many to fit into drawers. And we actually do watch them quite often, so I don't want to "put them away" per-say.

Ikea has a ton of different media centers that are much bigger and very well priced. They all have drawers and doors so it's very easy to add a child lock to it. The child locks we have you just have to press two buttons at once, like pinch it, to open it. So it's easy for us, but difficult for kids  

Ikea has stuff like this, and this particular one is only $585

that looks like something more manageable for everything we have. Thanks. We don't have an IKEA here, but I think there is one like 30 mins away so I'll check it out.

i downloaded all my dvds to my hard drive then plug that in to my blueray. no more dvds taking up space! i love it.

There online site should have everything they have in store, that way you can check it out before driving there   When DH and I first moved in together we bought all used Ikea stuff and it's held up really well.
