after a bouncer

after DS grows out of his bouncer what else can i buy for him to sit in? I dont want to buy a bumbo seat.

We had an exersaucer it had a ton of toys on it and he loved it. He used it from 6 months to 11 months when he realized he could climb out of it.

A jumperoo? Don't know if that's what its called lol

after 6 months an activity center/jumperroo

i would get an exersaucer or a swing.

the floor?

i never used those things, well only for my first and she was delayed more so I think because i never knew better and just stuck her in the bouncy and stuff..

now all my babies play on the floor all the time, ive learned they seem to get stronger faster when they can move around freely and not be sitting in stuff...

id just get a play mat thing to put on the floor

he just turned 4 months, he has a jumperoo and hes tall enough to touch but he gets aggrivated in it after like 5 minutes and his developmental dr said not to use it for more than 5 minutes a couple times a day

Jumperoo.
It was a lifesaver before DD could sit up on her own, but once she could she didn't care about it anymore.
Luckily we didn't buy a new one.


I'd go to Once Upon A Child or other cosignment store to look for one.

he gets mad if he is on his playmat too long, he doesnt care for any toys, he has a move and crawl ball and hell do that for 10 minutes and then start screaming.


im looking for like a seat like thing, but he cant sit up yet, even supported he slides or starts to fall towards one way.

  I think there's some truth to that. My son has always been allowed to crawl/roll around and explore, especially since we don't use a playpen or crib. He was trying to stand at 7.5 months and is trying so hard to walk now (8.5 months). He didn't have much interest sitting in things once he started doing that army crawl thing at 5 months. Once he was REALLY crawling a month or so later, forget about sitting at all. lol We have a jumperoo and exersaucer, like others have mentioned, but he's not in them much. If he's sleepy then he's on the bed with us or in our laps. As for a Bumbo, I don't know how your baby would be with one but Felix never cared much for it. Before he could sit unassisted he'd just slump to the side or try to climb out. Once he was sitting on his own, he just wanted to sit himself. lol

Yeah, it's a high chair (I actually have this exact one) but the tray comes off (obviously) and you can tilt it back for babies who are younger. You can strap them in too. I mean, I don't know what exactly you use the bouncer for (just somewhere to sit him when you need a moment or if it's for naps) but my son liked to sit in this high chair even before he could sit unassisted (I'd just recline the back) and he'd either just watch whatever I was doing or I'd put toys on the tray for him.

dd is 5 months and has been using her exersaucer since 4 months. she loves it!

one thing I got other than the exersaucer which DS loves is a rocking chair... this one has a toy bar like his bouncy seat, but it goes from infant to toddler... I love that it is useful for more than just one stage of development
