What if their intention was not to rob you, but rape and murder you? Don't say it doesn't happen. It happened to my exes parents. The man raped his mom and killed both of them in their home. They didn't believe in guns.

Leg is not a large target if you are in your home at night. Two shots to the center mass works wonders.

I absolutely think it opens up homes with guns to home invasion. It is one of the huge scores burglars get as it's an easy sell & big money for size. I don't know about you, but I don't have a pile of jewels laying around....and a hand gun is much easier to pack up to take than my television & computer. they don't come when you are home to steal your guns...they come while you are out. Criminals case houses you know.......

The MOST common items they want are cash, jewelry, electronics, medications (narcotics of course) & guns - not necessarily in that order. They also like drugs & will break in for those if they have good reason to think you're holding.

DH always says if you're going to bring out a gun and fire it... shoot to kill. You dont know if they have a gun as well... you could wound them in the leg, and that wont stop them from opening fire on you in return. I'll always aim for the chest because it's a bigger target. You dont wanna aim for the head and miss, giving them a chance to shoot you.

If someone broke into my house I wouldn't have a problem shooting them. The person I quoted made it seem like she would rather get robbed than shoot somebody so I said she could always just aim for a leg

Oh I know.... I would take NO chances when it comes to my family. Come into my house uninvited? You're leaving in a body bag.

I would be pissed. I see no benefit to what he did. The majority....I am completely comfortable saying 98% of legal gun owners.....of legal gun owners are not a threat to someone unless that person goes into their home and threatens their or their families safety.

And for everyone saying that banning guns is awesome... lets take for example the guy who killed the firefighters in NY. The guy was a convicted felon... so... not legally allowed to purchase firearms. Yet.... he had them, didnt he? Killed people, didn't he?

That's what will happen if guns or assault weapons are banned, FYI. Criminals will continue to harm innocent people.

I think releasing the names and location of these people just opened their door to be broken into and have their guns stolen.
