I remember this show, it was brilliant!! I'm sure I remember a couple where the parents stepped in and took the baby back because the teenage couple were flipping crazy! One of the teenage boys was found out to be cheating and then the couple who were just amazing with all the age ranges they were given. I'm sure there was a few runs then it stopped, shame I would have watched it for years lol

Quoting Carla Orta:" I think they should have a class where the teenagers have to take care of a real live kid( instead of ... [snip!] ... got pregnant maybe there would be less teen pregnancies. Because the girl would understand the consequence of getting pregnant"
lol. i wish there was a practical way of doing that!

The only reason I suggested this is because some highschools have mandatory parenting classes but only after the girl has given birth and at that point it is sink or swim.

I'm not sure why people even think that works... I mean, it doesn't take rocket science to figure out that the baby is screaming because you're not their mother, and even teens know that.

Quoting P.S I'm pregnant ♥1:" <blockquote><b>Quoting Kelly&Coralie:</b>" why YES! Lets give kids who are already ... [snip!] ... helping out with daily things.. how much harm can be done. Either way, the entire idea is a bad one. It wouldn't do any good."

But having someone there to supervise or "save" them doesnt give them a real dose of reality at all. If anything, it's just like "Well if I have a kid my Mom will help save me or I can always choose adoption later on." They arent emotionally invested so they REALLY dont know whats going on. And to have someone there to "save" them once they leave the kid screaming for an hour to eat at 3am doesnt help them either. They just roll over and go back to sleep.

I think its a crap idea... it doesnt really show what parenthood is like.

I'd been left in charge of babies and toddlers for extended periods of times. Didn't stop me from getting knocked up at 16.
