So yesterday we finally announced our pregnancy to our family. Everyone was thrilled and immediately wanted to know the potential names. Big surprise but everyone hated Harrison. Apparently he will "for sure be called Harry". People laughed, it was terrible. So me being pregnant and emotional, I came home and started considering other names....
DH and I could only agree on 2 other names. Weston and Dominic. Middle name will be Phillip or James. Or should we just tell people to mind their own business and name him Harrison?

If Harrison is what you want then stick with it. Smurf what other people think.

It's A great name. And I have a friend who has a two year old named Harrison. People do call him Harry but it fits him, it's just his name.
I think Harrison is infinitely better than Dominic or Weston.

Nothing wrong with Harry for a nickname.

If anyone is picking the other names can you tell me why? Is it because of Harry.

I'm not a big fan of Weston or Easton.

I like all of the names but I really think Harrison is the best.

I love the name Dominic but if you like HarrIson then keep it.

I really do love Harrison, I know in my heart this baby is a boy and from day one we agreed on this name. It just really irritates me that they were so rude about it. At this point I have decided on keeping the name unless my husband strongly suggests one of the other ones.

Good for you! Everyone have me smurf about the name I had picked for my daughter and i let it get to me. I ended giving her a completely different first name than what I wanted and it's not a name I'm crazy about so I regret it. It fits her now because it's her name but I still wish I had stuck with what I wanted. I wanted Greta Claire and I settled for Jillian Claire because everyone said Greta was an old woman's name and she would hate it.
This time we picked the names we like and arent telling many people because we don't want to hear their opinions. For a girl we picked Delilah Gertrude and for a boy we picked Ephraim Paul. It's a boy so it looks like Ephraim it is!

I'm with your family people are bound to call him Harry which is grosa. Harrison is kinda cute but Harry is not. Dominic is awesome. It sounds good with either middle name.

I like Harrison, thanks to Harrison Ford. I also like Dominic and Weston, but Weston less so than the others. Either way, you can't go wrong!
