Daycare Vouchers??

posted 26th Dec
Idk if this is the right forum or not but I've googled what I could on daycare vouchers and I've been calling the department of social services # but can't reach anyone! Does anyone know the income qualifications and what I can do to apply? My mom backed out of babysitting randomly and I have family trading off to watch LO this week but next weeks up in the air. I work full time and can't afford to take off work. I'm stressing out! And if I do qualify, how long does it take to start? Thanks in advance.

in MO you just apply at dfs and give them the dcn # to your daycare. Then you have to pay the full cost until they process your application and they will reimburse you what you overpaid. They have 30 days to process it and here it usually takes that long. I make too much to get fully state-paid daycare but they pay about 50 % of it. Its about $120 a week for 2 kids after they pay their part.

What's "dfs" and "dcn"? And my son is 4 months old, how old are your LO's? It sucks, we just can't afford it right now

dfs = division of family services and I'm not sure what dcn stands for...its just what they ask for and the daycare facility gave me their #. Mine are 1 and 3. When I had only my son in daycare at that age i think it was around $100 a week w/o any assistance. The prices may be different where you are though.

I know right! That's why I'm freaking out because neither of us can take off of work like that. Wish we could move lol it's dumb.
