Death, afterlife, and the paranormal.

What are your beliefs when it comes to the afterlife? To things that are paranormal that just cant be explained?

Are you the type of person who easily dismisses unexplainable events?

For me, I believe that there is life after death. I've experienced WAY too many things throughout my life to ever believe otherwise. I have seen/heard/ felt/ dreamt of things you couldn't possible imagine.
My 4.5 year old has similar experiences.

Do I believe in angels and demons? Yes.
Do I believe in spirits/ ghosts? Yes.

I also believe that when you pass you can go back and fourth as you please from the dimension of Heaven to the dimension of Earth to be with loved ones.

I believe in residual energy.

I believe in science and medicine (currently a pre-med student, will be a medstudent next year)

I believe in God.

What do YOU believe in?

Any experiences (good, bad, indifferent) worth sharing?

I believe in angels and demons, heaven and hell. I do not believe that "Great Uncle Jim" comes back to hang out. However, it is a topic that fascinates me, and I find myself drawn to tv shows/documentaries/etc that talk about it.

As for experiences. We lived in a house that I absolutely believe had something bad inside of it. I remember seeing black shadows walking through the house, I'd felt horrified & very taunted. I used to run from room to room with my Bible (my family was not religious, but I did have one from somewhere/someone..) Sometimes we still drive by the house and just seeing the house gives me chills.

I believe in the paranormal but I think most people are quick to say they have experienced the paranormal when most haven't. I do not believe in angels or demons. I'm as atheist.

I believe not everyone moves on and they linger or their negative feelings energy linger. I've seen smurf and it creeps me out to no end... In Costa Rica (Where I grew up) We live in a place that was an Indian burial ground at first then it was turn into a coffee plantation and after that into a neighborhood. Weird smurf happened all the time voices, things moving, uneasy feeling, etc. I also did things I wasn't supposed to I messed around with a ouija board and I was stock seeing this man wearing a red shirt for months he would sit at the end of my bed and stare at me the same man my grandma used to see never again.
I believe in God but I'm not religious.

I am atheist . I think you rot in the ground.

I find the thought of paranormal activity intriguing but part of me wants to believe that the spirits of some people stick around, but another part calls bullsmurf. I have heard of plenty of stories, but I have never personally experienced anything, if I did I probably would believe it, I am easily convinced lol.

What do you mean by residual energy?

My response to this is that energy can not be created nor destroyed, and "afterlife" is very subjective. What is an afterlife for one person someone else would not consider an afterlife.

For me, I've decided that I don't know all of the answers and I'm probably never going to until I'm dead.

Do i believe in some all powerful god-like person? No I feel like maybe he was a figure we created to make ourselves feel better about death and someone to help us teach morals to our children. I don't think it's wrong to believe in him, but I don't personally.

I would like to think that we continue on in some fashion, but I'm not sure that we do. I think that if people existed in some perpetually happy place where nothing went wrong, we wouldn't enjoy it because there would be nothing to contrast the happiness with. I think that we can't enjoy being happy, if we don't have the ability to be sad too.

I believe that we are more than a sack of meat, but I don't know if that part of us continues on.

I am all too familiar with the uninvited dead stranger at the foot of the bed.
And this isn't limited to my own home.

I saw a guy in early 1900 clothing in my bedroom when I was pregnant just leaning over me while I was laying down trying to nap.

I had this old guy hanging out in the right corner of my bedroom for 2 weeks, day and night.

Went to FL and woke up to my daughter who was 1 at the time, standing up-right in her pack n play which was at the foot of my bed waving and saying hi to a young kid leaning in the door way smoking a cigarette.

DF and I took her to a playground and across the lawn I saw a guy in a civil-war type uniform marching, stop to look at me, nod his head and disappear into the trees.

Having dinner at my grammas and looked over in the doorway to see my grandfather who passed when I was 9 holding hands with my niece who was 4 when she passed giggling and laughing at the family as we were all laughing at something someone said.

The list goes on and on and on.

I also believe that some people are more sensitive to things than others. Or that others simply ignore it and block it out.

I believe that as long as you love someone they are tied to this earth and are with you 24/7. When I think about my twin who died, I swear I hear him laughing in my ear. It's like when I have a random though, I just know he is with me. My older brother too. I lost both of them a couple of years ago, and it has been a struggle. I've come to peace with my feelings about afterlife though. I believe in angels and demons, though I am not religious and I'm unsure if I believe in God. But I do believe there are both good and bad spirits and energies out there..

I believe in the paranormal, thousands of gods in one, and reincarnation. The spirits that linger don't know they are dead, usually, and don't know to move on to their next life.

I think this as well. Our dogs used to bark at one corner in our house for hrs and growl like something was there I felt the chills but I couldn't see anything. I would try to move them and they wouldn't.

What I mean by residual energy is energy that is essentially "recorded" in matter. Scientifically, limestone has been shown to record and produce residual energy in terms of "hauntings."

Scenario:
A person is having an issue with unexplainable footsteps and the sound of a gun shot in their home. They call a team of paranormal investigators to come check it out. They conclude that there is no actual ghost or spirit present, it's just events of the past being replayed in their home bc the energy of them has been trapped in the very foundation/wood/walls of the house.

Have you ever walked into a building or home and felt uneasy? Scared? Sick? Depressed?
Have you ever walked into a place and felt overwhelmingly happy?

This is said to be caused by the residual energy that is lingering or has been trapped there.

This is why people sage places. Sage is said to have a healing energy and can remove all negative energy that may be present in a home or building.
