I've become very sensitive lately to all of the religious/non-religious bullsmurf lately. I get annoyed every holiday season, but more so this year after the Sandy Hook shooting. My Facebook was flooded with morons who felt that the reason why all of the shootings are happening is because so many are without God. Yes, that's exactly the reason. Because, ya know, Christians do not commit any crimes. And, because I do not identify with any religion nor believe in God I am 10 times more likely to go on a killing spree, right?

I am not religious, was not raised religious. My grandma goes to church on the big holidays because she loves the music.

We always celebrate Christmas. My mum has always said that for our family, it is not about Jesus or anything like that but it is celebrating another year, and being with our family and enjoying each other.

It just bothers me that some Christians are using tragic events to attempt to push religion into schools. These shootings, I believe, have very little to do with a lack of faith. I also enjoy that I was able to go to school without having religious views shoved down my throat. Sorry, I know I just steered way off topic.

I was baptized, n went to ccd classes, when i was little but got kicked out for drawing god as half woman n refusing to do the holy communion thing. I've always been more interested in Wicca/pagan religions.

Christmas is clearly Giftmas and has been for a long looong time

Sounds like some people don't actually approve of you not being Christian. I've gotten that too by super religious people, basically they just want to exclude me and use my religion s an excuse. I'm Wiccan and my husband is laid back Christian. We celebrate both the religious holidays and many times just mix them up. Like we have a yule log with our Christmas ham.

lol, was kinda a kick in the face of God to celebrate his birthday on a pagan holiday IMO.

Christmas belonged to nonchristians first. They were so resistant to give up their holidays... thechristians overlapped christian holidays with theirs so they wouldn't feel slighted.

My SIL was saying this happened because religion isn't in schools, so I linked her a shooting and two closed schools due to threats... both of which were christian. She was like "You don't need to share my opinion, it's just an opinion after all." I told her she's an idiot and I hope she gets pregnant before she's married

I think it's a lousy thing to say to you, but i also think it was lousy to chose Chritsmas as the day to inform your family.

I showed my MIL the sterling silver Pentagram and she started to cry. Did you hear about the temple in Salem? What do you think about that?
