I think it is rude as hell. Sounds like this chick thinks she's better than others. I don't think it is ok to say crap like that too people becauae you don't agree with the waybthe are able raising THEIR child. The lady seems a little fanatical to me. Formula is no where near poison.

I breastfed my DS and tried (to no avail) with my DD. I think it is awesome even if they just get the colostrum, but as long as they are feeding them I see no reason why anyone should ever be so rude.

I feel similarly to your friend on everything lol. And I think it is INSANE that the ingredients in formula are considered appropriate for a BABY to have as it's primary source of nutrition for a year (corn syrup? hydrogenated oil?) and I absolutely think donor milk, goat's milk or raw cow milk would be a better, healthier option however I do think there is a right way to go about sharing information and it sounds like your friend is not approaching others in a way that is conducive to sharing knowledge.

I don't think it's appropriate for her to make that comment at any time, especially when it's unsolicited.

Holding strong beliefs is just fine but it crosses a line when you start condemning others for doing things differently than you. Not to mention, if she really wants to educate people and help them out, the way she is doing it will not help her cause. She sounds like she's got a holier than thou complex and really has no interest in educating anyone.

I hate people who think that their way is the right way and the have to be smurfs to everyone who disagrees. At least she's feeding the kid.

Thats wrong. I plan on doing the same thing as that woman, i want to get put back on my medication for bi-polar disorder after my babys born which means i will not be able to breast feed. If i dont get put back on my meds i dont know if i would be able to handle no sleep and the stress of a baby im not saying i would ever hurt my baby i would never do that ever but i would be too emotional to properly care for her i feel. So giving my baby formula would be the best Choice for my daughter. I dont see why people like her thonk they can dictate how other care for their children as long as the babys being cared for properly who cares how its getting done....

Not appropriate. She's an over opinionated bitch. But not much to do about them except BLOCKBLOCKBLOCK. And suggest to your friend she do that, because this other one is obviously not a friend, or she wouldn't be trying to make her friend feel like smurf.

inappropriate, rude, non of her business or concern.....id punch her in her face and tell her to let me raise my child my way...everyone has their opinions and that fine but no need to be a bitch about it or try to shove ur opinion down someone elses throat. i was a formula feed baby and i turned out ok...i wasnt able to breast feed and my baby is formula feed....shes healthy! so suck it !sorry i choose to give my kid fornula instead of goats milk or some ladys tit milk that i dont know.

I would have gone off on her. I am very pro-breastfeeding but I realize for many women it's not an option, and they should not be vilified for feeding their babies a different way. My sisters and I were all formula fed because my mom worked full time and was a single parent so she didn't have the time or the energy to breastfeed. Plus she would have had to bf 2-3 of us at once since we are all so close in age. We all turned out fine and healthy.
