circumsition problem.

Sorry if I spelt it wrong, but my son is about 2 months and 2 weeks old. He's circumsized but lately it doesn't look right. It's all puffy and red on the left side, and there was a little bit of white string came out from it. And since its the holidays, his doctor office people is not there till after the holidays and news year.

Are you cleaning it properly?

The semgma ( I think that's what it's called) is from left over junk getting caught in his folds.

I would make sure I cleaned it properly, and let it air out a bit. I know that's hard because he's so little, but just make sure you put him on something water resistant and let him play for a little while. Make sure you pull back what skins left and clean it after every diaper change.

I've been pushing it back and cleaning it. But I might let him go without a diaper for a little bit.

I would give it a little while. I mean, obviously if it gets worse or seems to be causing him pain I'd take him in like.. Now.

Does it look raw?

No just puffy and red. He doesn't seem to be in pain from it. There is random points when he cries when I'm cleaning it, but he stopped crying about a week ago when I did that.

I thought part of the point of cir'ing was to "help keep it clean" and that you don't' need to push anything back ( don't' push it back on an uncut boy either).
I would just bathe him and let him air out. I wouldn't mess with it unless a Dr tells you to.

you're WHAT? There is nothing to push back! IMO you need to consult a dr. you're probably causing him damage. There is NO and I repeat NO DAMN REASON to push anything back on a circed or non circed penis that new.

That happened with our son because his penis likes to like tuck itself inside of itself.. Yeah but that made the sides of his penis try to reattach to the head so it was sticking to itself (best description I can give) But yeah we just were not pushing it back enough. Our pediatrician showed us how to do it properly and he is all healed up now.

Actually you are supposed to push back whats left and clean it.

Try to be less abrasive and judgemental next time.

Actually my youngest is three months and his ped told me that the new thing is to leave a little more skin. His circumsized penis is very different than my six year old's was, and there is a little skin that I don't pull back but if it pulls itself back during a bath or diaper change I wipe it really good. I've seen the same white stuff OP's talking about.

Believe it or not you don't know everything. I very rarely see you say anything that's not bitchy and judgemental. Not that you care, I'm sure.

so its a half circumsision then that doesnt make sense if you have your sons penis circumcised the whole point is to get rid of the foreskin

That's what I was thinking...if there's that much to "push back" it isn't did correctly...

For a circumcision you are supposed to pull back the foreskin. This is to clean the penis and to make sure the foreskin doesn't adhere to the sides.

exactly! if i have my son circumsised then i want it done all the way not half way
