Remembering our angels this holiday season

posted 24th Dec
My little Rowan was due December 9th, 2012. I lost her May 21st, 2012. My period was 2 weeks late for no reason, and then started up on December 7th, so I believe in my heart that if I carried her to term, I would have given birth on the 7th.

This holiday season I'm giving most of Rowan's things to my step-cousin who is pregnant with her 2nd daughter. A newborn car seat, a newborn baby stroller, and baby girl clothes of all ages and sizes.

This would have been Rowan's first Christmas and Yule, so I bought a see-through ornament that I am making, putting an ultrasound photo of her on the Christmas tree once I see my family tomorrow, just like we have photos of our relatives that passed away on branches on the tree.

How will you remember your angel baby this holiday season? Anything planned? Hugs to all angel mommas xxx

My son would have been 5 on October 14. I miss him terribly bc I know he would have been a great big brother and helper but I try to not hold on to grief or sadness. I'm excited for my lo first Christmas. I will go see his grave and take lo to say merry Christmas. I will probably get him an orange toy or hotwheel to put on his grave. I'm just cherishing my lo now.

Hugs momma and sorry for your loss

I just lost my child on the 21st. I was ten weeks. I bought an ornament and put an ultrasound pic in it of when I was able to see the little heart of my angel beating.

Thank you. I'm still dealing with the pain and honestly have not slept at all. I'm sorry about your angel as well.

I had a feeling it was a girl, all pointed to the fact that it was a girl, and when she was born I saw female parts. As for the baby clothes and baby equipment, all of it was either donated to me or was at a garage sale and I bought it. Garage sales are only held at the spring here so I figured I'd buy everything before it was over.

I miscarried at 15w5d and I literally gave birth. I delivered her in the hospital, pushing and everything. It sounds like OP was about 12 weeks and would have delivered not just tissue, but a fetus very much like a baby. OP I'm so very sorry.

ETA So very, very different from my early miscarriages. It's different when you can hold them, you know?

Quoting shes*almost*one!:" oh wow --- that's really sad... im sorry you lost her.. she was "born"? i thought you miscarried early ... [snip!] ... so smurffy. i understand, i had a miscarriage early on as well. i certainly would never call miscarrying your "child being born""

I respect your opinion, however my baby, a 12 week old fetus, did come out vaginally and was intact.
