My mom had it done a few years ago, and she had a pretty easy recovery. She had large fibroid cysts on her uterus and as a result her blood count was really low...afterwards, she felt fantastic.

Why are you getting it done?

She may not have a choice. There are many medical conditions that require it.

My mom had it done a couple years back. She has four scars. It was laporscopic. She never took any pain pills, just Tylenol and Motrin. She did it on her Christmas break from her job. She was off for 2 weeks and then went back to work where she walks alot and works with behavior kids

And to the women getting on her about the double post...Have a heart. This isn't a post about "Omg, how does my hair look?" It's something that she's seriously scared about. She's probably just looking for a little extra support.

My mom just had hers done.
For the most part, everything went great.
She had pain for about a week after, being on bed rest.
And the obviouse menopause, which hasnt been as bad as most people say it is.
She mostly complains about tiredness and the hot flashes.
Good Luck!
