Pumping and drinking?!

I'm trying to get all the information now while i'm pregnant lol.... anyways I plan on pumping, sometimes my girls and I go out and drink once in a while.... (not since being pregnant lol).... I feel dumb for asking, but if I go out and drink 5 drinks or so.... or "wasted" how long should I pump and dump? Trying to get an idea if I can ever go out gain while i'm pumping....

You don't have to dump.

As long as you are sober, you are good.

Hmmm, I didn't know that... I was under the impression it was going in the breast milk. I want to go out sometimes.... all moms need a break lol... but I don't want to feel guilty for going, who am I kidding I probably won't be able to drink because i'll feel too guilty.

It is in the milk as long as its in your blood.   when you are sober, your milk isn't spiked anymore.

lol....you will get over that feeling!

I went out a month after I delivered, but the whole time I was thinking about the baby. It gets better being away over time. lol. I just don't go out anymore because hangovers are a bitch in the morning.

Thanks ladies!! I really need all the information I can get, I don't want to go in this blindly lol... I tried pumping before, but I didn't realize you had to do it around the clock, so I dried up... I pumped when I was full but that was it... this is the first time I will be doing it around the clock every two hours... so I have tons of questions, one being about going places for long hours... like all day events, do I take the pump with me?!

Yeah. I exclusively pumped for three months ((I couldnt keep up with his demand anymore and eventually stopped producing enough.)) You will have to bring at least a hand pump everywhere you go. It is SUPER tiring. I would try to breastfeed before JUST pumping. I know I was miserable from not getting any sleep because I would have to feed him, pump, and repeat which took a good extra hour.

I have hang ups about breastfeeding... I don't think I can do it...

Did you stop pumping or did your supply run out?

My supply ran out so I had to give him formula after he drank all my milk up. Then he got to the point where he preferred formula and wouldnt drink bm.

But.. it is better than no breast milk at all!
