tampons?

Can I wear tampons now? for my first pp period?? or do I have to wait? I reallyyyyy hate pads with a passion..

Has it been 6 weeks? If so, then you can wear one. You might have to change it more often. Waiting 6 weeks to have sex is recommended for a reason, but too late for that now.

I waited 6 weeks after giving birth vaginally to wear a tampon. I was still not fully ok down there. The reason they dont want you to is because of infection risk.

After my csection my OB ok'd tampons after 4 weeks but nothing went on down there so it was all good. I did change it more often.

After 6 weeks.

As far as sex, as long as the bleeding has stopped (if you had a c-section, at least..) then sex is usually safe. Vaginally, I can't say much. Never experienced it.

The risk of infection is high up until your doctor looks at your cervix to be sure your cervix is closed.

If you are not past 6 weeks then you can not use tampons and it still isn't really considered a PP period until after that. It is one of the things you sign up for when you get pregnant.

I for one did not do either and still contracted a terrible uterine infection that resulted in two night stay in the hospital. Do you really want to risk that?

Yeah, I was okay down there after 3 weeks. i stopped bleeding & my stiches you couldn't feel anymore. They weren't dissolved until 4 weeks the doctor said, so we waited like 5 days after we had sex the first time, I was just so ready to do it, I wasn't waiting ! lol.

I honestly cannot understand how some women can have sex before 6 weeks! That stuff's still sore.

Mine wasn't lol. I felt like that the first week, I couldn't even pee without crying & had to pat it dry, but at 3 weeks I stopped bleeding and felt normal, lol. everyones different though, i remember thinking the first week, I never wanna have sex lol

I had a c-section, but my husband and I tried the other night. I'm 12 days PP and the bleeding had stopped. Let's just say.....Worst sex of my life. It was like going down a water slide...with no water. It lasted less than 3 minutes, thank God.

Haha yeah it was like that with DD1. I was so scared afterward this time that I think we waited almost 10 weeks PP.

Why didn't you use lube? or spit.. lol thats really weird considerng you had a c section. thats the only thing i can think of why it wasnt pleasant. i had a vaginal birth & it was freaking amazing the first time lol

Be careful with them, not only for infection risk buuuut after I had DD1 & tried wearing tampons, it fell out.

It just fell out lol :/ I was out too & could feel it sitting just inside my vag, not as far up as it should've been. Very embarrassing
