My water broke!!!! 12-12-12

I woke up at 430am to my water breaking, at the time I thought it was me peeing on myself. With dd my water didn't break. I'm only 35 weeks so, I'm automatically scared, worried everything in the book!!

Called l&d and they told me to go in and get checked. Not even 5 minutes later they said yes it's your water! I was crying, and shaking I was worried baby wouldn't be okay being born 5 weeks early.

Got admitted to a room at 6 am and after 4 failed attempts they finally called iv therapy in to set up my iv. (You should see my bruises) doctor came in and said we are going to have to start pitocin to get things started we will wait till 12 noon. They allowed me to eat breakfast.

Day was pretty uneventful... They were checking my cervix because of the chance of infection, at 5am I was a 1-2. Around 6pm that night the contractions started coming on hard and fast. I was in so much pain I asked her to check me, I was only 2cm!! I wanted the epi she recommended that I wait till I'm at least 4-5cm.

About a hour later I told her I felt different more pain, pressure so they checked and I was 5cm!! Ready for my epidural... Never had one but I loved it and it helped me relax  

At 9pm they checked me and I was fully Dialated, time to push!! No joke 3 pushes and out she came!

At first nicu wanted to monitor her since she was a preemie, she weighed in at 5lb 10oz and almost 18inches long. Lucky enough she did so well and got to stay in room with me and we got discharged 3 days later.

AND CONGRATS! Sounds like it was a bit scary there for a minute. So glad she did so well!

Congratulations!! I had my son at 36 weeks and 5 days, and he was only 4 lbs 15 oz. So your little one is definitely healthy and seems to be doing great! BTW, the L&D nurses also blew out my veins. Each nurse can only attempt it 2 times....So I had to have multiple nurses come in to try.

Congrats!!! Everyone is having their Jan. babies early, I'm jealous!!!   BTW she is ADORABLE!
