Best cure for a yeast infection

Doctor prescribed Nystatin for a yeast infection for my 8 month old nephew. the tube got stepped on and over half the ointment got wasted on the floor.. the tube cost $35! is there another type of ointment designed gently enough for a baby that will cure a yeast infection? also, something a little cheaper..   do not quote

We have always used lotrimin for yeast rashes.
