its a 18 pound turkey...
i have spices, butter, oven bags, foil pan.
its in the fridge now (has been since the 21st) and still feels completely frozen..
will it be defrosted by christmas dinner? (on christmas)
how do i cook it? lol... i just remember helping my aunt put her turkey in the tub to wash it... and rubbing butter all over it. and putting it in a bag. lol thats it
I've never heard of putting it in a tub. lol. I just use a roasting pan and uncover it near the end for crisp colored skin. I carefully separate the skin around the butt and rub butter inside, and then all over the outside. Sprinkle with poultry seasoning or thyme. I cook low heat all day, from around ten am then the last hour or two I uncover and turn it up a little if the legs start to brown to much I put strips of tin foil on. Anyways.... good luck! I love making turkey! I am also doing a maple ham this year but making it tonight.

She had a huge turkey and small sink. Ill try the uncovered part at the end. And cook it on low all day. Thanks for the tips
