Zyrtec

My daughter started this tonight before bed, 1/2 teaspoon once daily. She's got pretty nasty allergies. Making her face hurt, her eyes have dark circles under them and a little cough so she definitely needs meds.

If your child took it, did they ever have any side effects? All my doc said was fatigue and that could be avoided by giving it to her before bed.

Medicine just makes me nervous...

My son takes this for his allergies and eczema as well. The drowsiness was the only side effect but we curbed it by giving it right before bed.

My son takes it, and I usually give it to him before bed, but even when I did have to give it to him in the morning he didn't have too much drowsiness (not noticable at all in fact)
