re: Elective C Sections?

Thank you so much. I can not believe how judgemental people are about this. I am happy your surgery went well

I think a lot of it has to do with some girls jump to a csection because their doctors lie to them because it's what's easiest for the doctor. They can be very dangerous. There was a mother on here that died from hers recently. People just worry and sometimes it comes across as being bitchy.

I understand that. My cousin passed away a few years ago from vaginal birth.

I was so worried about dying on the table lol, the OB eased my mind though when he told me I was more at risk of dying while driving.

I wasn't scared, I'm weird. I'm one of those "If it happens it happens" kind of people. I'm not afraid of dying and junk. Jason's always worried though. I've had 2 surgeries now in the past year and a half. More than I had my whole life prior lol. He freaked out both times.

I think it came off that way because to us elective means I just want one for the hell of it. Yours is medical if u have dangerous medical issues. That's completely different. Good luck mama. It does suck not having a choice and it shouldn't be something everyone just jumps on as a trend.

Right. There's always gonna be someone who has died from
Skmething. You can't base your life decisions on that. It's not common either way. But the risk is higher with a csection.

my dr told me vangial was better because of my walking, it would be easier for me to heal because they almost took me for and emergency c section with my daughter.

Ah okay thank you   Not sure mine would want that, I can barely walk as it is. I have to wear fracture boots if I do any walking outside of the house and I need to have surgery on my left leg once the baby is born

Hey Girl, Like I said I had an elected C/S I was so scared but I knew that it would be easier on me than trying to continue my induction which I had been induced for over 32 hours with no progress before I chose to do this. Once it was over I was happy with my choice. She is here!!!   Anyways, I vaginal birth can be hard on the baby under certain circumstances. Where as a C/S can be hard on the mother. I chose to take all the risks instead of having my baby at risk. dont let people influence you either way, do what you think is right for YOU. I did, and Im happy with my choice. Recovery is a lil rough and drawn out, in fact im still healing and I had mine on the 14th. Good luck girl ;)
