Breastfeeding and bacterial infections

Have any of you ladies used MetroGel vaginal cream for BV while breastfeeding? The pharmacist told me there wasn't well known studies about it and said I should pump for the 5 days I'll be on treatment but I don't want my daughter weaning or not wanting the breast once I'm done. I'm considering putting off treatment til she's 6 months since that is when I plan on weaning her.

The cream or gel is safe while breastfeeding but the pill is linked with childhood cancer in breast milk. I held off on the pills but the cream made my bv worse. The key to curing bv is vaginal and body ph. Limit sugar and starches

You can try stringing a clove of garlic and inserting it every night for 7 days
