A lot of sociopaths have that capability sadly. They are so conning & can charm just about anyone which is why they get away with a smurf load of smurf. I know a true sociopath sadly, they are pretty smurfed up.

It's like I WA NT TO KNOW so bad. It's been so long though, and no killings have continued, so it's like either they died or maybe are in jail as we speak.

This wasn't necessarily a serial killer because we don't know, but what case has always interested me what The Black Dahlia case. I would love to know who killed that poor girl.

Yea it is crazy & def a mystery. You know a lot of sociopaths are never caught for their crimes because of their tendency to change up stories & lie so easily that even they could pass lie detector tests. I have looked up a lot on sociopaths...pretty crazy and pretty much it is always a mix of a hard childhood & genetics.

Just out of curiousity...what's your opinion on their being a connection between the Black Dahlia case and the Lipstick murders? That's a pretty popular theory, and in my mind, very plausible...

Possibly. The Lipstick Killer just died this year, too. And what do you know, from CHICAGO!... The Black Dahlia murder was in California. If he traveled a lot, it could have led him to Hollywood somehow. Do you remember what The Lipstick Killer's profession was?

But get this one..The last person the Lipstick Killer killed was a 6 year old girl named Suzanne Degnan.

Elizabeth Short (Black Dahlia) was found on the corner of Degnan Boulevard.

That's almost too close for a coincidence.

I read they WERE all over the place on that poor case. Too may suspects, like torturing them and tons of confessions. Craziness.

I did my thesis (BS in Criminal Justice) in college on Serial Killers and there is definitely a link between animal abuse and serial killers...It is a major red flag and the one factor most serial killers have in common.
Btw, my favorite is PeeWee Gaskin. A lot of people don't know about him but anywho...Charles Manson would be a close second although he never lifted a finger to murder anyone. He is a prime example of how easily it is to become "brainwashed" and follow the wrong crowd.

Serial killers have always fascinated me.

My favorites are Ted Bundy and The Servant Girl Annihilator. The connection between the latter and Jack the Ripper is fascinating.

I personally think there are two types of serial killers. One that is your typical bed wetter, animal killer, and pyro. The other is the kind that could have been and likely is the typical high powered CEO of a company/police officer/military man. Someone that gets off on the power and enjoys more the chase and planning than the actual killing.
