The point is you are not legally allowed to hit adults unless they are putting your life in danger...it makes no sense that we are allowed to hit kids just because we don't approve of their behavior.

Yeah nothing like it at all. Nobody I know in the lifestyle has a contract ... in fact the whole thing was insulting

My husband and I do not smack, hit, punch, pinch, spank, beat their butt in, or whatever else people call it. Heck I had a friend you called it tickling, her child was scared anyone mentioned tickling. To us it's using physical pain and emotional fear to gain control over the child. We believe in working with the child, such as comforting them, and helping them to understand their emotional outburst.

Oh and before anyone tells me this, no we don't give in to tantrums, and no our kids are not spoiled, and I seriously doubt they will go to prison because they are not spanked.

Now I am also not perfect and did once spank our oldest when she wasn't even one years old out of shear frustration. We both ended up on the ground crying, and I apologized. I guess I just don't have the heart to give my kids physical pain.
