making cloth wipes

So im cloth diapering but i cannot afford to buy cloth wipes so i want to make my own, i have tons of those flannel blankets, but i do not have a sewing machine. Has anybody made cloth wipes? What's the simplest way to do it? What did you use to make them?

do you have a needle and thread? I would sew the edges just because they start to fray if they aren't sewn

I had planned on making mine, but I found 24 packs of thin wash cloths at Ross that I will be using. For $5.

I use primarily baby washcloths (cheap is fine) and cut up burp cloths.

I tried the blanket cut up deal and those shred. My favorite is cut up t shirts. I cut up 2 that I don't wear anymore and they work great and don't fray.

baby wash clothes are pretty cheap and work perfectly.

How many do i need?

You can't have too many, lol. How often are you washing? You want a minimum of 1.5 per diaper change, to make sure you have doubles for nasty jobs.

about 2 dozen but I have gotten away with only 18 between two babies as long as I'm doing laundry every day.

Im not sure yet but I'm planning on doing a load a night until he gets older and goes through less diapers then i Plan on washing every other day.
