painful urination after d&c

I went in yesterday after bleeding the night before and my baby had no heartbeat. I had the d&c a few hours later. Today every time I pee it's excruciating pain and I can't even fully stand up after-did this happen to anyone? Should I be concerned? Obviously things are very irritated from the procedure, I just didn't expect this.

Also when should I expect the cramps to go away? They are not that bad but every half hour or so I get a searing pain through my lower abdomen and I have to breathe through it like it's a contraction-anyone know what that is?

I had a D&C in October of 2011. Urination a few days after was uncomfortable and it felt kind of difacult to go.
Watch for fever or a burning feeling. These could be sines of infection or UTI.

In about a week or so you should be feeling fine. Might spot here and there though for up to a month after.
My period had returned by around 6 weeks after.
How long ago do they think the baby stopped developing? You were around 10 weeks by your due date.
My baby had stopped developing around 5 weeks, but I was supposed to be closer to 12 weeks along.

Things had been severely off from the beginning. At way I thought was 8 weeks the ultrasound only showed a sac, two weeks later a very small sac but a heartbeat, ten days later a normal sac and heartbeat but only measuring 7 weeks 5 days. Did you ever have contractions after your d and c? I've been having them for hours and its getting pretty painful.

So do they say you were 10 weeks upon having the D&C?
The further along you are, the more likely contractions are. I didn't have them because though I should have been 12 weeks, all there was was a sack and small remnints of what could have been a baby.
Watch for them being over welmingly painful, too much bleeding, fever, lightheadedness.
These are sines you need to go to ER or see a doctor ASAP.
Take some Ibuprofen

or some other pain reliever to take the edge off.

They told me my uterus was ten week size the sac was 9 and the baby 8. This honestly makes no sense to me at all. Unfortunately I ran out of ibuprofen! My lovey boyfriend left to go snowmobiling about an hour away an decided to stay over. If my two year old was up and it wasn't 430 am here I would get some!

This makes sense to me.
Baby stopped developing at 8 weeks
Sack didn't realize, and continued to develop another week until it did.
Uterus was the last to know something was wrong, making it having progressed the furthest.
You have no Tylenol? or any other pain reliever?
I'm shocked you weren't given a script for antibiotics and pain medication after the D&C.
Motrin is best though if you have to go buy it.
Can you try taking some Bennadryl to help you sleep? You can take up to 200 MG now that you're not pregnant with no harm.
