Still constipated

Okay my daughter is 3. I took her to the doctor on Wednesday & the did an X-ray on her stomach & she is consipsted and backed up. So they prescribed little tummy and mirolax. She started having diaharea after taking little tummy, so the dr told us to stop that and take the mirolax, but she hasn't pooped yet.

How long does mirolax take ??

They also said if this doesn't work, she needs an enema or they need to actually go in with a tube and flush her out  

We had to use an enema on dd when she was 3. They have OTC ones made by pedialax that we used. It sucked but it helped. Then u Hve to do a serious diet change. Tons of Fruits and veggies and everything whole grain.

If she had diarrhea how is she constipated?

Are you mixing it with enough water or juice? It's really important that you mix it exactly the way you're supposed to, otherwise it will practically become cement in the intestines.

ETA: Miralax should start working within a few hours. It doesn't take a day or two like a stool softener.

I did the exact amount & she still hasn't pooped

Yea. That's what's her dr said about her diet.

Did the enema work right away ?
