So I'm officially overdue by one day and still no baby. I have been having contractions for three days now, that are regular, but end up going away after a while. I've literally tried everything from sex, to walking, to nipple stimulation and nothing will keep the contractions going. I refuse to try stuff like castor oil, because I don't trust it, so I am at a loss at this point and just feel discouraged. I have been walking so much that I damaged my ankle pretty badly and can barely stand up, so the only thing I can do at this point is bounce on an exercise ball. It sounds weird but I kind of feel like a failure and the constant calls from family and friends asking where baby is isn't helping. Sorry, just a vent.

Baby will come when ready! And to the people calling, clearly the baby is still inside. Not missing. Lol

Remember due date could be two weeks off. Its only an estimate. Baby will come when baby is ready. Not you. So just keep bouncing on that ball or kick back and watch T.V till LO one decides to come. He or she cant stay in there forever!!!

One day isn't a big deal, I know you want baby out and are probably super uncomfortable but you still have plenty of time.
Be thankful it's not two weeks

Thanks ladies . He is stubborn like his mama! I guess I feel so discouraged because I keep having really regular, painful contractions, yet still no baby. I was always under the impression that once they were regular, they wouldn't go away. But oh well! He can't stay in there forever at least.

I think that is what I am going to do today after cleaning the entire house. It seems like the only thing that keeps the contractions going at this point!

It won't be long. You've made it this far. He'll be here before you know it.

Thank you . I think the worst part of going overdue is that everyone tries to give you advice about naturally inducing labor. Some of the smurf people say cracks me up. I swear if someone goes into labor after eating pizza, then they are convinced that if you eat pizza too, you will go into labor as well haha. I've heard some funny ones!

I know the end gets to be a mix of irritability and excitement. Then it'll just be all over....

Yes, definitely! And a bit of anxiety too. I am starting to get a bit nervous for delivery because I am having him at a birthing center and can't have an epidural or any pain medication. But I know deep down I can do it!

Don't be. You'll do great. Go into it with how you want your birth to go. but don't forget that there is relief if it gets too bad. No sense in you being in complete misery. Good luck, mama.
